Today's Word
Deuteronomy 30:16 "For I command you today to love your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will increase and the Lord your GOD will bless you in the land you are entering to posses."
This verse surprises me with the word "Command". Can we command somebody to love us? God knows man and his thoughts - He knows man when given a freewill will not endure in Truth. So he commands.. For God desires towards man is to just bless him and in abundance. When he saw man pursuing his own desires rather than obeying the commands. God then brought love to mankind in the form of JESUS CHRIST, who gave himself on the cross - a death of shame so that we get united with God. Submit to Christ in His love and possess the beauty of God's riches.
